Hey, I’m Oakley! (He/They)

I’ve been making art my whole life, and have kept a consistent practice since 2019. I’ve learned through experimentation, play, and through engaging with other artists in Seattle’s DIY and punk scenes. I enjoy tattooing bold and heavy blackwork, as well as more delicate and gritty textural pieces.

  • I began tattooing in 2023, beginning with hand poking, then switching to using a machine in 2024. In my abstract work I range from small ornamental pieces, to sprawling scapes. I prioritize designing pieces that flow well with a body in motion. My figurative work is often depicting plants and animals, as well as pin-up figures. I am often inspired in my designs by microscopic and macroscopic biological patterns.

Outside of tattooing, my art practice often involves painting in acrylic and gauche, creating mixed media and collage works, playing with ceramics, and sewing and repairing with reused materials. When I’m not making art, I spend my time rock climbing, petting my cats, going to movies and supporting my friends’ weird and queer artistic endeavors.

Feel free to reach out to book a tattoo or talk about art. You can find me on Instagram @flesh.monger or email me at flesh.monger.tattoo@gmail.com
